Touchable Organizer and Media Equipment devices are small handheld computers with touchscreens. They can be linked to other computers or devices through cables or data chips, or wirelessly through network communications. TOMEs can be designed for simple interfaces such as door controls or digital displays, but most individuals have a particular TOME configured with personal security measures for private use. Their manufacture is limited to a handful of corporations, and because of their delicate and compact components, this monopoly is largely accepted.
