The Bapraeth system is a largely barren system with two inhospitable planets. Early during exodian expansion into the Fjotmor Sector, it served as a fueling station where crew could rest and refresh themselves before returning to their voyage. During the War for Private Space, it was discovered that Bapraeth 1 held subterranean pools of naturally-occurring danjabrium, and the system's infrastructure was expanded to extract the fuel and service larger military fleets. In the years following, it has seen far less business, and the more frequent solar flares have left areas of hazardous radiation. Now it is nearly abandoned save for the occasional broken-down freighter or smuggler dodging patrols.
Bapraeth Star frequently erupts into solar flares that can be devastating to spacecraft in its line of fire. Locals know to seek cover, and a fleet of solar power plants are set up to collect the radiation.
Bapraeth 1's surface is scarred with deep crevices that hint at long dead tectonics. Observant geologists will note that some of the surface craters are characteristic of meteorite impacts. However, other craters appear scorched and consistent with massive subterranean explosions. The source of these explosions were extensive pools and rivers of naturally-forming danjabrium. The only memento of this resource are the systems of caves stained inky black. A few abandoned pumping stations and landing pads are the most of the infrastructure that had briefly put this system on the map.

Pump Station 19 is one of the abandoned facilities on Bapraeth 1's surface. A number disappearances have given rise to rumors that it's haunted.
