The featureless surface confused early explorers because it sustained a breathable atmosphere, however research stations discovered a complex network of caverns covered in oxygen-producing grasses. The atmosphere generated in the subterranean tunnels rises above the surface and supports a number of small animals and larger predators.
Additionally, the substance known as jumpjuice can be extracted by pockets of liquid in the planet's crust.
