The prison planet's mass is so great that its gravity prevents any reasonable escape. In orbit is the prison castle station. Solar radiation fields envelope the planet's orbit, making any approach dangerous. In addition, a dense asteroid field has claimed many an unwary craft. A comet passes close to the sun.
