Battleship

Battleships are enormous military craft 3000 meters in length and crewed by more than 2000 people. Like destroyers their sole purpose is military domination. Unlike destroyers, their sheer size does not force them to sacrifice the capacity to launch strike craft, and have similar capacities to dedicated carriers. Being far greater in mass compared to a destroyer though, it is rarer for battleships to traverse in Zipp Space, and damage sustained is costly and time consuming to repair. For this reason, the few battleships in existence are usually deployed in defense of key systems and rarely as anything more than a show of power and wealth.
