Transports serve similar functions to shuttle craft, however they can be as long as 80 meters, giving them greater capacity, lifting power, and comfort. They usually have a crew of two to five and may install a Zipp Drive. Their holds make up the majority of a transport’s structure and can seat up to 100 passengers. They are highly configurable, and since they are the smallest craft capable of interstellar travel, are converted into several variants.
Freighter variants ditch the seating and bunks for cargo space. They are rarely built for the comfort of the crew, and are slow and vulnerable. Still, in safe space they are a common variant and are responsible for the greatest volume of goods delivery.
Miner variants sacrifice weaponry for mining beams and MARGs. They normally have a docked utility pod as well. The remainder of the cargo space is dedicated to raw-material storage.
Bus variants are luxury transports that convert cargo space into furnished cabins and common spaces with exterior viewports. While not as prestigious as Yachts or Liners, they are often seen as an affordable way to spend a vacation, particularly ones with a tour course.
Heavy Lifter variants are similar to their smaller cousin, the dropship, in that their cargo is normally an exterior payload such as a prefab installation, surface vehicle, or salvage, and designed to carry much larger objects and more of them, while also offering internal facilities and cargo space.
