After the publicity fiasco suffered with the production of Craven-class escape pods, Groush & Balg Tribals learned their lesson and were sure to embed orc culture into their next pod variant.
The Yassmij-class drop pod is named after the first orc astronaut, Yassmij, highlighting the long and dubious romance between orcs and space. Next, Groush & Balg re-contextualized the purpose of a pod, saying that the Yassmij was not a means of a escape, but a means of delivering soldiers directly to a destination, blind to the immediate hazards and hostilities, and fresh from the adrenaline-filled auto-pilot descent.
Other design choices differentiate it from the Craven-class. First are the removal of drag flaps in favor of extra thrusters, which makes the Yassmij more effective even in non-atmospheric conditions, while also appealing to the orc enthusiasm for engine burns. The second is that after internal pressure-latches are released, the pod's frame can break apart into improvised barricades and supplies. This has the added benefit of making disembarking a drop pod more fun for anyone who might enjoy kicking a spacecraft so hard that if falls apart.
