Named after a legendary orc guerrilla warrior, the Gasgarra-class shuttle was designed to be serviceable both for deploying troops in atmosphere and during boarding actions.
Articulating engine pods allow for rapid vertical takeoff as well as unprecedented maneuverability. The forward-mounted weapon hardpoints are not useful for returning fire against pursuing interceptors, but are consistent with Groush & Balg Tribal's philosophy of making craft designed to attack rather than escape, and they certainly make quick work of any hostiles near the Gasgarra's landing zone.
The port and starboard hatches make for easy mounting and dismounting and the docking hatch on the stern makes for easy boarding actions.
All-in all, a versatile shuttle craft that is a mainstay in any fleet.

As the Gasgarra approaches its landing site, the engine pods articulate downwards, slowing its descent and providing stability. This also allows it to hover and provide covering fire as it delivers its payload.
Some pilots have utilized the engines to conduct what they call "scorch runs", in which a Gasgarra shuttle passes close enough to the ground with its its engines pointing downward, that it sets fire to the surface.
The Gasgarra's interior consists of a large hold accessed by port and starboard ramps or an aft docking ring. In its default configuration, there are seats and equipment racks for up to 26 personnel not including two officer's stations. A forward hatch leads to the cockpit which seats two crew.
