Probe

Probes are small uncrewed craft with limited propulsion and maneuverability, rarely longer than 4 meters in length. They also have a configurable payload which can include sensor equipment, explosives, transmission/receiver antennae, and in the rare case of some network relays, miniature Zipp Drives.

They are often launched from torpedo tubes instead of hangers.
